Help Roadrunner Food Bank sort food and prepare for the largest food donation week of the year (Thanksgiving week)

As we know, the goal to eradicate polio is almost finished. On November 22 I'm riding in the Tour de Tucson as a fundraiser for Rotary's Ride to End Polio. In my youth, I saw firsthand the effects of polio. Now I see it in the survivors of polio. Polio affected my family and my friends. Other countries' experiences are more devastating. This disease spreads easily and rapidly, which is why we need to stop it now. Donations are matched 2:1 by the Bill Gates Foundation. Please join me in donating to this amazing cause. I've attached a qrcode for your convenience.  Some of you may recall, I struggle with ClubRunner and how it works for this fundraiser.  So please let me know if there are any issues. Thank you.

Railrunner trip to Santa Fe with dinner at Tomasita's. The train departs Albuquerque between 3:15-3:30 PM and returns around 7-7:30 PM. About 14 people have RSVP'd. Participants buy their own train tickets and meals.

The Hotel is Just West of I-25 on central. The Lounge is located on the 4^th floor of the hotel accessible by our elevator just off of the main lobby. Parking is free and located at both the front and back of the hotel.

Rotary del Sol's expert chefs will cook dinner at the original Albuquerque Ronald McDonald House, which serves children and families staying at UNM Hospital.  This is a fun, team service activity that supports families navigating the immense challenge of having a seriously ill child.  We are responsible for feeding up to 75 people if the house is full.  Volunteers will bring food for the menu and/or help prepare the meal.  We need a strong Club effort!  The Event chair will contact all Volunteers to assign/confirm what food items to bring.

Judges will help judge projects.   Inspirational opportunity to give back to young people interested in learning.

Our next Freeloaders will be on Saturday, May 9th at Tony and Julie Pino's home at 6:00 PM. Their address is 501 Accipitrine Ct. SE, which is in Four Hills.

For our newer members the way our Freeloaders events work is that our host provides the main course which this time will be chicken piccata and ribs with attendees / guests bringing appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts. Water and soft drinks are provided by our host but please bring your own adult beverages.
