Bring the family to enjoy an evening in the Garden. The Shark Reef Cafe will be cooking up delicious food for the perfect picnic on the grass and local bands will provide a dinner soundtrack. Kids can get their face painted and adults with an ID can order a drink from the variety of bars around the Garden. Plan for a relaxing time in one of the city’s most beautiful settings as the entire Botanic Garden will be open to experience.

Join us for our regular weekly meeting where Kevin Frick will talk to us about the use and placement of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

Our next Freeloaders / RDS Officers installation will be on Saturday, June 28th at Kent and Melanies home at 6:00 PM. Their address is 616 Running Water Cir. SE which is in Four Hills.

For our newer members the way our Freeloaders events work is that our host provides the main course which this time will be chicken piccata and ribs with attendees / guests bringing appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts. Water and soft drinks are provided by our host but please bring your own adult beverages.

I spoke with Melanie, and she would prefer everyone contact her directly to RSVP and to let her know what food item you will be bringing. This seems to work best so Melanie and Kent have an accurate head count as well as making sure we have a good mix between appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts.

Please join me at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 8 AM to 4 PM for a meaningful and timely event: the Path to Peace Conference, hosted by the Rotary Club of Santa Fe Centro and the Rotary Club of Los Alamos.

This one-day gathering will bring together international and local voices to explore healing after conflict, peacebuilding, and the role Rotary can play in building bridges in our communities and around the world. 

Featured Speakers Include: 

• Eria Matsumae, Peace Memorial Park Guide from Hiroshima, Japan
• Dr. Manuel Montoya, UNM Professor of Global Political Economy
• Denise Moore, Clinical Director, Tierra Nueva Counseling

We'll reflect on the past, build hope for the future and close with a public Peace Pole Dedication at Thomas Macaione Park. It will be a lasting symbol of Rotary's commitment to peace in the heart of Santa Fe.
