Dear District 5520 Rotarians,

Please join me at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 8 AM to 4 PM for a meaningful and timely event: the Path to Peace Conference, hosted by the Rotary Club of Santa Fe Centro and the Rotary Club of Los Alamos.

This one-day gathering will bring together international and local voices to explore healing after conflict, peacebuilding, and the role Rotary can play in building bridges in our communities and around the world. 

Featured Speakers Include: 

• Eria Matsumae, Peace Memorial Park Guide from Hiroshima, Japan
• Dr. Manuel Montoya, UNM Professor of Global Political Economy
• Denise Moore, Clinical Director, Tierra Nueva Counseling

We'll reflect on the past, build hope for the future and close with a public Peace Pole Dedication at Thomas Macaione Park. It will be a lasting symbol of Rotary's commitment to peace in the heart of Santa Fe.

This event is $50 per adult and $25 per student, and includes lunch, catered by La Fonda Hotel, and there are only 100 seats available. Registration is being made available to Rotarian's first and then will be open to the public, so register now to be assured of a seat at the conference.

As we know, the goal to eradicate polio is almost finished. On November 22 I'm riding in the Tour de Tucson as a fundraiser for Rotary's Ride to End Polio. In my youth, I saw firsthand the effects of polio. Now I see it in the survivors of polio. Polio affected my family and my friends. Other countries' experiences are more devastating. This disease spreads easily and rapidly, which is why we need to stop it now. Donations are matched 2:1 by the Bill Gates Foundation. Please join me in donating to this amazing cause. I've attached a qrcode for your convenience.  Some of you may recall, I struggle with ClubRunner and how it works for this fundraiser.  So please let me know if there are any issues. Thank you.

The Hotel is Just West of I-25 on central. The Lounge is located on the 4^th floor of the hotel accessible by our elevator just off of the main lobby. Parking is free and located at both the front and back of the hotel.
