Yasser Murga, District 5520 Governor, attended our August 29th club meeting.  He's a very energetic and interesting speaker and had he encouraged us to become leaders either in our club or at the district.  He talked about the upcoming Bi-District conference with our sister district 4110 in Mexico as potential district and global grant possibilities.
 
RDS will be repairing a large ramp on Saturday, 7 Sept. at 8 am.  The address is 856 Horseshoe Trail SE, ABQ. Please reply to this email or to my work email if you will be able to help.  I will pick up the trailer & tools at the Fab at 7:30 and bring them to the site. Thanks.

Congratulation to Ted Schmidt on his Paul Harris Fellow.  Congratulations to Shirley Anderson and Dave Simon on the club membership anniversaries.
 
Announcing a great opportunity to volunteer with the sorting of 10,000 Bombas Socks for the Unsheltered and Indigenous communities of New Mexico.
 
A truck will be delivering 40 large boxes with 250 socks per box.  Socks will be sorted based on requests by agencies supporting the Homeless and Indigenous communities.
 
We will meet in the parking lot of the Salvation Army.

100% Paul Harris Club

We are working on becoming a 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, which is a significant Rotary designation for us to have.  
 
In order to accomplish this goal, the Club and many of its members have points available to match donations.  We will match your donations 1:1, so a $500 donation to the Rotary Foundation will be matched by 500 points, which will be enough for you to become a Paul Harris Fellow if you’re not one already.
