THIS WEEK IN ROTARY

 

On June 3 at the Morning Meeting for All Del Sol Rotarians the program was a Club Assembly to discuss the Rotary Del Sol Foundation plan for annual disbursements out of the 2020 Permanent Fund now that our 2020 Goal has been reached. It was an opportunity for members to comment on the plan and present any ideas that they may have.  Dave Seely, RDS Foundation Chair, will present the plan in greater detail at a future meeting.  It was also an exciting meeting because it was the first meeting in the new room at Jimmy's with the new sound system. Thanks to Steve Reynolds for all his hard work on the new facility.

 

Tomorrow, June 7 at 5:30 PM at Nexus Brewery and via ZOOM the Satellite Group will be having their planning session for the next Rotary year starting July 1, 2020.  All members are welcome to attend in person or via ZOOM.  Satellite Co-chair has sent out a link for the meeting.

 

On June 10, 2021 at Jimmy's Cafe and via ZOOM, there will be a Morning Meeting for all Del Sol Rotarians.  All members are invited to attend either in person at Jimmy's or via ZOOM. Again, it will be in the new room at Jimmy's so please come and experience the new digs. Club Secretary Davis Riordan will be sending out the    ZOOM link for that meeting.  The program is still uncertain at this time but a followup email blast will inform members prior to the meeting.

 

All members have received President Ed Robertons Email detailing how meal billing will work for the next Rotary rear for morning members.  If you are in agreement to be billed quarterly for meals by Treasurer John Gordon you don't have to do anything.  However, if you want to  have the option of being billed only for the meetings you attend, please let John Gordon know that ASAP which will help him set up the billing system as of July 1, 2021. 

 

President Elect Brad Ekhoff has announced that the Club Board for the 2021-2022 Rotary year will be installed at the Morning Meeting or all Del Sol Rotarians on July 1, 2021.

 

On June 15, 2021 the RDS Board will have its June meeting via ZOOM.  Ed Robertson or Davis Riordan will send out a link for that meeting. Al members are invited to attend.

 

On June 19 at Joyce Robertsons Home there will be a Freeloaders.  Due to Covid 19 this is the first and last Freeloaders of the current Rotary year.  Signup has been enabled on the Events Calendar so please sign up and contact Ed or Joyce as to what dish you will be bringing to pass.  Ed and Joyce will be providing the main course which rumor has it will be chicken or pulled pork sliders.  Lets get together and have a Great Rotary Del Sol Social event.
