On February 17, 2022 at the Morning Meeting for all Del Sol Rotarians, one of our newer members Jennifer Huffaker was the speaker. This is part of Admin Chair, Dave Simon's program  to get new members to tell their life story as a way to  get fellow members to know the newer members better.

 

Jennifer told about her family especially her Mom who was partially raised by Catholic nuns in El Paso.  Her father was a B-52 pilot and her parents had 7 children. 

 

Jennifer has  a BA  in Chemistry and an MBA from UNM.  She spend 22 years in the pharmaceutical industry.  She married in 1996 and has two daughters.

 

In recent years Jennifer has started a new career as the publisher of ABQ Catholic, a division of Decided Excellence Catholic Media.  She publishes a series of Neighborhood Parish magazines for the different regions of Albuquerque. Her publications are now read in 6200 homes. She said her publications have an excellent record of being effective for advertisers.

 

Last Tuesday, February 15, at the Satellite Meeting for all Del Sol Rotarians. there was a Club Assembly to discuss the upcoming Rotary Charity Ball and the recent membership survey sent out by President Elect Jeff Weinrach.

 

This Thursday, February 24 at 7:00AM at Jimmy's Cafe and on ZOOM, Dr. Mark Kropp, a Del Sol Rotarian who works as a physician in Brazil will be the speaker.  This should be a fascinating presentation by one of our own members who works internationally.

 

Ed Robertson, Past President and Chair of the Freeloaders is looking for someone to host the March Freeloaders which will have a St. Patrick's day theme.
