On November 1 at the Regular Thursday Meeting, Serial Entrepreneur Andy Lim was the Guest Speaker. He spoke about his youth in West Borneo and how he came to Albuquerque and finished his education here.  He founded LAVU a very successful Point of Sale business in the restaurant industry.  It is now used in 92 countries and has 150 employees.  After it became very successful, Andy gave up management of LAVU and founded his second company ADDMI.  It is an app that connects people, does email marketing and does business event planning.

 

Vicki Turpen was Rotarian of the Day.  She told about her father in law Noah Turpen who was her inspiration to become a Rotarian.

 

Ron Hensley described the successful Fun Trap Shoot which had 11 teams participating.  Everyone had a ball at the event.

 

Tom Cullen reported on the status of Beans and Rice drive which is just getting underway.

 

Pints for Polio- the members of the RDS Satellite Meeting are hosting our Clubs Pints for Polio at Tractor Brewery on November 8, 2018 from 6:00-8:00.  Meredith Eisenberg asks all members to invite all their friends including Facebook Friends. Lets have 100% participation of Club Members at PFP in honor of World Polio Day.

 

RDS Foundation Meeting is scheduled for 5:00PM, November 7, 2018 at Bank of New Mexico-TKF Bank(Brad's Bank) on Jefferson.  All members are invited.

 

The Regular Thursday meeting on November 8, 2018 at Meals on Wheels will feature NM Amigos Laura Riley.

 

Please note that the  RDS Board Meeting has been changed to November 12, 2018 at 7:00AM at Jimmy's.  

 

On November 12 at 5:30 PM at Nexus Brewery there  will be a Governors Ball General Meeting.  All members are invited. Come have a beer and help Tony, Kelli, Brad and other committee members plan for this years Ball.

 

Sponsorship packets are now available for Governors Ball.  All members are requested to obtain sponsors to make this a Great Governors Ball.

 

Remember to sign up for the Annual Holiday Party on December 9, 2018 at Santa Ana Resort and Casino.  This is a no cost event except for Adult Beverages so we hope to have a great turnout.
