On July 25 at the Regular Thursday Meeting, Dick Brackett from Rotary Club of Albuquerque spoke on the Stay in School Program. He said that last year there were 60 volunteers who worked with 1600 kids in 8 Albuquerque Schools to explain the value of Staying in School and finishing high school. Dick said 96% of the kids got the concept. This year there will be more volunteers at 10 schools.

Tony Pino then led a Club Assembly discussion of the New agreement for a Joint Venture with the Rotary Club of Albuquerque for the Governors Charity Ball for New Mexico Children. He said this would be a win-win for both clubs.

Club Secretary Herman Haase presented Perfect Attendance Awards to 16 Del Sol Rotarians which represents over 20% of Club Membership.
Tomorrow at 5:15 pm at Nexus Brewery, the Satellite Meeting will feature Service Chair Chris Van Dyck discussing Service Projects.
The Regular Thursday meeting on August 1 at Meals on Wheels will feature Joanie Griffen of Sunny 505 speaking about her business, which is one of New Mexicos largest communications firms.
Applications for Charities for the Governors Ball for 2020 are now being taken and should be forwarded to Dacia Card.
Membership Chair Barrie Segall reminds all Del Sol Rotarians of the contest June, July and August to see who can bring the most guests. Guests are potential members and will help us meet next years Membership Goal. Prizes will be awarded.
