On October 11, 2018 13 at the Regular Thursday Meeting, Sean Leveque was the Guest Speaker on the Subject "Human Trafficking".  Sean is traveling the country in a camper with his wife and three children to focus awareness on the prevention aspect of Human Trafficking.  He told us that "slavery is worse than ever in the world"  He said Billions are made on human trafficking and that the average age of young people who are victims of sexual trafficking is 13.  He also told us how we can help the problem by purchasing "Fair Trade" products like clothing that have no slavery component.

 

Herman Haase was Rotarian of the day.  He spoke on his 22 years in Rotary and how he has learned that Rotary is more than attending a meeting or helping with a Service Project. He said  "It is a way of life"

 

This weeks Satellite Meeting at Nexus Brewery at 5:15, December 15, 2018 will focus on the East Mountain Interact Club. Hannah Hileman, Club President of East Mountain and Faculty Advisor Michael Wood will be the speakers.  Lets support Satellite Co-chairs Meredith Eisenberg and Kelli Muwumba who are doing a fabulous job with the Satellite by coming out to the meeting and having a beer with some great Rotarians.
