HAPPY HALLOWEEN DEL SOL ROTARIANS
On October 28 at the Morning Meeting for All Del Sol Rotarians, Kristin Walls of KAES Painting was the Guest Speaker. Kristin described what would be happening at the "Paint For Polio" event which will be next Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Brew Lab 101 in Rio Rancho. This event, which will be a fundraiser for the Rotary International drive to eliminate Polio Worldwide will feature Kristin as the "Art Teacher" showing Del Sol Rotarians and Guests how to paint a picture. Each guest will be provided with the materials to do their own painting. Kristin will guide them each step of the way starting with the background.
In addition to doing the painting guests can purchase beverages rom Brew Lab 101 which makes its own craft beer and also purchase food from the food truck on the premises. Cost to attend is $75.00 of which $43 goes for the supplies provided by Kristin Walls. Last year when the Club had a Paint for Polio it was great fun.
Also at last Thursday's Meeting Fundraising Chair Tony Pino announced that there would be a Governors Charity Ball Planning Meeting at his Office at 1:30PM tomorrow November 1. The Governors Ball is now a Joint Venture between Rotary of Albuquerque and Del Sol.
For this month, due to Paints for Polio on Tuesday evening, the Satellite Meetings for this month have been moved to November 9 and 16 at Nexus Brewery and on ZOOM.
The Morning Meeting for All Del Sol Rotarians on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00AM at Jimmy's Cafe and on ZOOM will feature Brian Brown from Roadrunner Food Bank. This is a good time to hear from Brian because it is time to kickoff our annual Beans and Rice drive.
THERE IS STILL TIME TO SIGN UP FOR "PAINT FOR POLIO". WE NEED A GOOD TURNOUT FOR THIS FUN EVENT. REMEMBER ROTARY'S MISSION TO ELIMINATE POLIO.
Lets all have a Great week in Rotary putting Service above Self.
