This week we were joined by Robyn Hill, Director of Development for Heading Home - which contracts with the City to run a number of homeless shelters.
She talked about Heading Home's mission and about the causes of increased homelessness in Albuquerque and how her organization helps people move past homelessness to become self supporting again.
How you can help:
* Bring items to our meeting to donate. We are currently looking for clothes, underwear for Noon Day or hygiene items, costume jewelry and purses for Pursonalities Plus...
* Donate to an organization that helps the homeless like Heading Home (headinghome.org) or the Dream Center (nmdreamcenter.org)
* Consider using Amazon Wish List to regularly donate underwear or other needed items to the organization of your choice.
Party Season...
It's Freeloaders season again. Want to show off your lovely backyard and host our group? You provide the main course - everything else is potluck. Let Ed Robertson know if you are interested.
