Ron Hensley - Del Sol History

Did You Know?

This week, we had an inspiring presentation by Ron Hensley (with help from Bill Rothweiler and Shirley Anderson all about our Club's past (and future...). Did you know that:

* Our club was charted with 83 members 27 years ago

* We've raised over $1 million for children's charities through the Governors Ball (which we did for 20 years) and created an additional $1 million endowment for our annual Don Chalmers grants.

* We've hosted many exchange students and have kept in touch with them through the years.

* Our club has participated in several major Global Grant projects - including our current project in Nepal.

*We've had several Past District Governors... and we have a future one (Jeff Weinrach).

After this awesome presentation, we decided that we should have a Del Sol Historian.

Party Season...
It's Freeloaders season again.  Want to show off your lovely backyard and host our group?  You provide the main course - everything else is potluck. Let Ed Robertson know if you are interested.
