Last Weeks meeting featured Charles LaFond who is the Advancement Director for Heading Home Albuquerque.  A non-profit agency in Albuquerque seeking to make homelessness rare, short-lived and non-recurring.   Charles is the author of four books and a Master Potter of 35 years.  He was a priest and monk in the Episcopal Church and has been a successful Certified Fundraising Executive in Virginia and Denver. He moved to Albuquerque for the quality of life.  He also felt his passion for transforming homelessness and his skills in fundraising could be of best use here.

 

August 16, Thursday Regular Meeting at 7:00AM at Meals on Wheels Cafe will feature Brian E. Baca the President and CEO of  the Better Business Bureau of New Mexico.  It is a private, non-profit with 20 employees in two offices that serve the state of NM and ten counties in SW Colorado.  Mr. Baca is responsible for providing leadership and direction toward the achievement of BBB's philosophy, mission, goals and objectives.  The BBB is a 4300+ member organization whose mission is to promote and foster the highest relationship between business and the public through voluntary self-regulation, consumer and business education and service excellence.
