On February 20, 2020 at the Regular Thursday Meeting, Rotary Del Sol honored retiring member Joe Rose in celebration of his long and dedicated career as a Rotarian. Joe was a long term member of Rotary of Carlsbad before helping to Charter Rotary Del Sol. President Dave Simon dressed up to impersonate Winston Churchill who Joe Rose loved to quote. Dave gave Joe several books of history to read in his spare time. Several Rotarians gave anecdotes about Joe and his long career as a Rotarian. Joe thanked Del Sol Rotarians and told them how much he will miss them. Joe and his wife Ann are moving to Abilene, Texas to be near their family. They will be sorely missed.
