On December 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Del Sol celebrated its annual Holiday Party.  Seventy three people including members and guests attended.  Santa Ana Resort and Casino hosted the event and provided a wonderful buffet dinner.  After dinner the Del Sol Rotary Wranglers led a Christmas Carol Sing Along.  A great time was had by all. Members also brought gifts for the Heart Gallery project.

 

Thursday's Regular Meeting  on December 13, 2018 was a Club Assembly focused on the Governors Ball.  Ball Co-chairs Tony Pino and Ron Hensley led a discussion about the need for sponsors and auction items.  After that, President Dacia led a discussion about whether the proceeds from the 2020 Governors Ball should be split in different ways from the current Memorandum of Understanding between the Club and the RDS Foundation. No vote was taken on that issue.

 

On December 13 there was a New Member Orientation presided over by Steve Reynolds and Jeff Weinrach at Jimmy's Cafe.

 

There was no Satellite Meeting this week.

 

The Regular Thursday meeting on December 20 at Meals on Wheels will feature John Mierzwa from Ingenuity Software Labs and the founder of the Deep Dive Coding Boot Camp in collaboration with CNM. He will be speaking  about job creation in Albuquerque and what a success that project has been.

 

Sponsorship packets are now available for Governors Ball.  All members are requested to obtain sponsors to make this a Great Governors Ball.
