On February 15th at 2:00 P.M.at the Prairie Star Banquet Run there will be a Memorial Service for Rick Frendle, late husband of our friend and long time Rotarian Julie Frendle. Rick passed away January 2, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Julie invites all Del Sol Rotarians to the Celebration of Rick's Life.
Last Thursday, January 30 was our first Regular meeting at our new location, Jimmy's Cafe, on Jefferson street. Dave Ring presented Banners he received from two Tahiti Rotary Clubs on his recent trip there. Ron Hensley read the Rotary Minute prepared by Joe Rose celebrating the Rotary Youth Exchange program which has been in existence since 1975.
Our speaker was Joanna Colangelo of the Albuquerque Community Foundation. She talked about how the Foundation works with the business community to help bring needed skills to the Albuquerque area, such as Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and other skilled professionals.
Joanna also discussed the Foundations work with the International District to create partnerships with small businesses and other organizations in that Community.
