Last week, we heard from President Michael Barrio as he formally introduced himself to the club (finally!) and we all learned a thing or two about his career and professional background!
We also kicked off our first Satellite meeting, formatted to prioritize a renewed focus on maintaining a consistent presence in the community by actively working to source and spearhead exciting new community service project opportunities. Please note the following Satellite Meeting updates:
The regular meeting start time has been changed to 5:30pm to encourage higher attendance rates.

Our next board meeting will be held Monday, July 17 (tomorrow) at Jimmy's Cafe at 7am.
The program for this week's Thursday morning meeting will include speaker Raul Torrez, Bernalillo County District Attorney. As both our President and Vice President will be out of state for this week's meeting, President-Elect Dacia Card will be hosting our July 20 meeting.
This year's Bi-District 5520/4110 Committee Event will be held August 11 & 12 at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces. Bi-District will convene Friday, August 12 in the afternoon, culminating with a cash-bar social hour at 6pm, and dinner at 7pm. For more information & to register, click here!
Farmers vs Ranchers Golf Tournament is just around the corner and there's still time for us to make this a fun fall social for our members and in support of the Moriarty Club. This event is a fundraiser for the Moriarty Club and all net proceeds will go toward their local projects. The event will take place on September 9 at King Ranch and registration can be completed by clicking here. Fees are $30 per person, or we can put together club teams of 4 players, at $125 per person! Fees include a barbecue lunch and live music - and you get to socialize with Rotarians from the ABQ, Rio Rancho, and Moriarty clubs!

Over 25 years ago, Rotarians made a promise to the children of the world to end polio. At the time, polio was endemic in 125 countries, and thousands of children were paralyzed each week. Today, polio remains endemic in just three countries and is 99 percent eradicated. A world without polio is just one gift that Rotary will give in in our lifetimes.
