ABQ Convention Center... Coming Back from Covid

This week we had a great presentation by Ray Roa from ASM Global. Ray manages the Albuquerque Convention Center and Civic Plaza.

Originally from California, Ray shared his story of how playing Trombone at Disney World as part of a college internship sparked an interest in hospitality and a career at ASM Global.

He shared how he brought back the convention center from Covid - starting with a Foreigner concert.

As a bonus, he raffled off some Lyle Lovett tickets which President Brad Ekhoff won.

A huge thank you to the amazing Jennifer Huffaker, our Next Generations chair who hustled, never gave up and found 6 outstanding young people to attend RYLA this summer. Our two latest attendees are either Eagle Scouts or soon to be Eagles. This year, RYLA is (like the convention center) building back from Covid, so the additional campers mean a lot.
