Rotarians:

 

Our friend and fellow Rotarian, Julie Frendle needs our help this Friday.

 

Specifically, she needs someone to take her place at the DECCA State Meet this Friday. Julie and her husband Rick are suddenly called away and will not be back until the weekend, so help would greatly be appreciated.

 

The DECCA State Meet is an event where kids write a business plan and then present it to a panel of judges.  The panel includes two judges; Mike Quinones, a retired police officer and the Rotarian that takes Julie's place. It's a great event!

 

The DECCA State Meet is this Friday for most of the day. The volunteer judge needs to be at Hotel Albuquerque at 7:15 a.m. for breakfast and to review the student business plans with Mike (he will have read the plans and can fill you in). Whoever volunteers will enjoy a nice hot breakfast buffet and judging starts at 9 a.m. A nice lunch buffet and a gift of appreciation will also be included.

 

It's really fun to see the kids so excited about the business they want to open, and they really appreciate any and all feedback.
