Arrived at camp very nervous as he hadn’t been away from his family for that long and he would be with strangers.
Day one speaker was an astronaut.He said he never thought he’d have an opportunity to listen to an astronaut or to even ask questions.
Day two speaker was Dave Valero, a fireman who talked about conquering fears.
Day three was the high ropes.He was terrified of heights but moved forward with the support of his cabin mates and campers/staff.He said courage isn’t about getting rid of fear.It’s about moving forward while you’re still afraid.
Cabin mates had to work as a group – it was a good bonding experience.
The food was wonderful.
The experience changed me.It got me out of my comfort zone, and I was able to do more than I thought I could do.

Ukraine entered its fifth year of war; the need to aid its people remains critical
Their mission is to deliver financial, humanitarian, and medical support to Ukrainian families.
She shared photos and stories from her recent work in Ukraine.It was very sobering to see the destruction and devastation caused by the war.But at the same time, it was inspiring to see the Ukrainian people’s resilience and never give up attitude in face of so much opposition.
Andrea and her Ukrainian partners have helped to provide 350 of wood stoves and over 30,000 temporary windows to families who homes have been damaged, while continuing to advocate for and assist children affected by the war.
