Our role is to help New Mexicans achieve lifelong independence and healthy aging.
Our services:
Aging & Disability Resource Center – offers free, unbiased, expert information and assistance with Medicare decisions.
Adult Protective Services – Investigates alleged abuse, neglect and exploitation for adults aged 18 and older who are unable to safeguard themselves.
Aging Network – Oversees programs and services to older adults including food security, senior employment and the area agencies on aging and capital outlay funding.
Consumer & Elder Rights – Advocates on behalf of older adults with disabilities in New Mexico.
Long-Term Care – Helps residents transition from Long-term care facilities back into a community setting.
New MexiCare – Provides financial assistance and training to caregivers who are assisting friends or family members with daily activities due to physical or cognitive limitations.
Office of Indian Elder Affairs – Supports culture, traditions and effective approaches to honor aging American Indian Elders.
Ombudsman Advocacy – Provides an avenue for expressing and resolving long-term care concerns.
We offer a range of volunteer opportunities tailored to your skills and interests. Whether it’s providing direct assistance to seniors, supporting adults living with disabilities, or contributing to various program initiatives, your involvement will make a meaningful difference—significantly enhancing the quality of life for many across New Mexico. Training and coaching are provided to all volunteers, ensuring you are equipped to make a positive impact while also growing personally and professionally.
