• Last week we heard from 3 of our Governors Ball beneficiary finalists: The Storehouse, New Day, and the Coalition to End Child Sexual Abuse. It was a great set of presentations and we're excited for Round 2!
  • Speaking of Round 2, this Thursday (March 22) we'll be hearing from our last two Governors Ball beneficiary finalists for 2019. We'll be hearing from: the NM Veterans Integration Center and the Children’s Grief Center. Each presentation will last 10 minutes and, following the meeting, the club will take a vote to select two beneficiaries for next year's ball. Make sure to be there for these important meetings!
  • Don't forget about our Satellite meeting tomorrow, Monday, March 19, at 5:15pm. We know it is President's Day and what better way to celebrate this holiday than by having a meeting about how to give back to our community? Our meeting will be at Nexus brewery (4730 Pan American Fwy NE suite d, Albuquerque, NM 87109) in their meeting space to the West of the bar. We are starting the meeting 5:15 now to allow us time to get food and drinks ordered prior to starting the actual meeting at 5:30-6:30 and reduce disturbances. We'll hear from Michele Cody on what ARCA is doing for our community and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Michele is the Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of ARCA's Foundation.
  • One more thing about the Governors Ball: it's RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! So let's not forget about our collective commitment to getting MORE SPONSORSHIPS for the Governors Ball this year than we ever have before! This is a team effort, folks, and we have one of the strongest teams around so let's all put in some time and effort for getting those sponsorships, getting the word out and selling tables!! We can make this year the biggest and brightest ever!! PUSH!!!
  • Lastly, LET'S KEEP PUSHING : If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, President Elect Dacia Card will have tickets with her during Thursday's meeting! If you haven't gotten your tickets, please contact Dacia at daciacard@comcast.net. We're still in the midst of Every Rotarian, Every Year - the program that encourages all Rotarians - every single one of us - to contribute to the Rotary Foundation, annually. Last year, our club had the highest per capita giving rate in District 5520. One of President Michael's goals for this year is to have 100% participation in Rotary Foundation giving. An easy way to give is to go to Rotary.org. For every $10 contributed, you're entitled to one ticket in the Rotary Raffle (Cruise or Cash!!), AND contributions to the Rotary Foundation & Rotary Del Sol Foundation are tax deductible!

Let's Have a Great Week in Rotary!
